AboutMe

From since I can recall, I have marvelled at and been mesmerized by the magic of theatre and music.  My basement in my “growing-up” house was donned with old sheet music, Groucho Marx pix, violins, some interesting collages, a veritable podge of hodges.  And so the power of those childhood influences.  My life is like that hodge-podge, “liberal arts” to appeal to those more culturally inclined.  I have always found a way to let music and theatre filter through my life whether it be through formal studies or just having a rocking fine time singing “Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush” adapted to bath time with my ever busy 2.5 year old son.  With my daughter in the car, we exercise our voices or “vocalize,” sing songs and make up songs.  I love computers, cats, cars and other things that don’t begin with a “c” but most of all my amazing family who still affords me the opportunities to find ways to keep music and theatre as my life’s screensaver!

Above is a shot from my “grown-up” house basement.  It’s the making of the sign that hangs over our “Pond Family Theatre.”  Come enjoy the show!

Peep and Quack

Just a really cute and clever website for kids based on the show of the same name.  Wonderful and smart games that will make you and your kids smile and learn science stuff without even knowing it!

StarFall

Just great for kids and having fun learning letters and reading.

American Sign Language "Live"

A cool site by Michigan State University that has a dictionary for common words and phrases.  You select the word or phrase you're interested in and a little video clip of a person demonstrating the sign for that word or phrase plays.  It is great for teaching language to infants!
